Awad
elkish was born 1945 at Bengasi, Libya, studied at the University
of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. His great interest in social
problems he expressed in several film features, three of them had
been created during his stay in Austria. At present he is lecturer
in film direction and script writing at the University of Tripolis.
He is organizing the Libyan-Austrian cultural exchange of musicians
and visual artists by preparing concert events and art exhibitions,
and Prof. Elkish is also a member of the executive committee of
the Austrian-Libyan Society.
